    I'm proud to announce the opening of my new solo show "Filigree Fealties".
    It will be featured in the Pease Gallery at Central Piedmont Community College in Uptown Charlotte, September 10th through October 24th. The Opening will be September 13th from 5:30 to 7:30.

  • 07/22/12 "Word Up: The Intersection of Text and Image"

    I have been chosen to participate in a group show that is being featured at The North Carolina Museum of Art in Raleigh. It opened this week and features five other North Carolina artists besides myself. I'm looking forward to to seeing the show as a whole, and checking out the other selected works. It runs through January of 2013, so there is plenty of time for everyone to check it out if you happen to be in town.

    I have just completed a huge commission work for a new restaurant in uptown Charlotte. The establishment is called 5 Church, and it looks phenomenal. It will be opening this weekend 05/18/12 and I personally can't wait! Big thanks to the Reaching Quiet Design team for their help.

    I'm in a group show in downtown Concord at the Cabarus County Arts Council. If you are around come check it out! Here's the info...

    "Word Processing includes paintings, ceramics, word press and mixed media by Nancy Baker, Noyes Capehart, Vicki Essig, Ann Harwell, Warren Hicks, Michael Klauke, Kenn Kotara, Nathaniel Lancaster, Scott Lowrey, Sandra Meyer, Leah Palmer Preiss, Mary Lou Sussman, Beth J. Tarkington, Kelly Thiel, Barbara Yale-Read and Jessica C. White.
    The Galleries are located at 65 Union Street S in Cabarrus County’s 1876 historic courthouse.

    Three of the artists will present a Gallery Talk and Demonstration, “Getting the Message Across, on Thursday, February 3, at 7 p.m. Klauke, Sussman and Yale-Read will give insights and explanations regarding their work in the Davis Theatre and then demonstrate some of their techniques in The Galleries.

    The exhibition will be included in a downtown Concord Art Walk on Friday, February 11, 6-9 p.m. Galleries and shops in downtown Concord will have visual arts displays, entertainment and refreshments. A number of artists will be on hand to talk about their work.

    Hours are 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday-Friday. The Galleries also will be open regular hours on Saturday, March 5. Group tours can be arranged at other times by appointment. Volunteer docents are available for tours, and there are artwork scavenger hunts for both children and adults. There is no admission charge.   • 11/03/10 Show opening this Saturday night!

    This Saturday night (11/06/10) I'll be having a show opening here in Charlotte "MONSTEROCITIES", at Twenty-two! 7 pm till late! I'll be showing with another gentleman by the name of Matt Hooker, and I got to tell you after seeing the preview it looks pretty good. I've got several brand new pieces and a couple older ones up as well.

    I will have a deck featured in the "Let the good times roll." show at Gallery Twenty-Two this coming Saturday night, 08/07/10. It's a fundraising show to start a local non-profit for kids in the area that would like to spend their time skating, instead of getting in trouble.

    Will start at 7 pm, and if you would like to check it out (AROUND 70 LOCAL SKATERS AND ARTISTS CONTRIBUTED! SHOULD BE A FUN TIME!) come on out and have a blast. I will.
